The conference will bring together in Kobe, Japan, the global community engaged in the fields of biotechnology, which includes the applied fields of biochemistry, chemical biology, environmental chemistry, pharmaceutics, analytical chemistry, and the material and biological sciences. By providing both specialized and integrated sessions, the conference aims to establish solid foundations to enhance progress in current fields while sowing seeds for the creation of new fields in biotechnology.
Topics of the conference related to chemistry will include natural products, pharmaceuticals, chemical biology, environmental biotechnology, enzyme engineering, biocatalysis, functional foods, fermentation, downstream processes, and cell/tissue engineering. The conference thus provides the platforms needed to address the areas crucial in realizing a sustainable future society; energy, environment, food and health.
